Her Story
Toni Orrill is a poet and author from New Orleans. A graduate of Tulane University, she has been a strategist, media consultant and advertising executive before writing full-time. It was during a transformative summer that she uncovered her proseful style, capturing an experience of emotional loss with a spiritually provocative voice. Her ability to sense the subtleties of physical, spiritual and human nature in a deep and revelant way is what makes her work compelling and soul-satisying.
The Glorious Summer (Hamilton, 2007) was her debut book, and The Broken Fall:A Katrina Collection (Hamilton, July 2009) is its companion piece. Both are narrative non-fiction and can be found in the Religion/Spirituality Memoirs section. She is currently writing a novel and a collection of poetry entitled The Coyote's Lament.
Toni is a member of the The Southern Christian Writers Guild,The Northshore Literary Society and Poets Alive in Covington, Louisiana.
